To our neighbors here in Poletown,
For 50 years, it feels like our neighborhoods have been forgotten. We have watched our beautiful area get beaten down by illegal contractors dumping, neglect, and decay. Many of you have been forced to just live among the disaster. Because the city has moved everything over to the internet, it feels like a wall has been built. Life feels so bad when you look out your door just to see dump sites covered over with time. So many are hidden away in your homes right now, why go out, there is no place to walk to, to buy food of any kind or shop for your needs. Disconnected from what is going on, that is debilitating in itself. Some of you are elderly, some are living with disabilities, and some are young people who got lost inside themselves while spending years selflessly taking care of your aging parents- loved ones. Please reply to flyers that will help you!!
We want you to know: We see you, you are not forgotten, and we are fighting to bring back your dignity and quality of life.
You have every right to feel like the city hasn't done anything for you- because for years they didn't. But we have a new mayor, a new day, and a real chance at a new life for Poletown communities. We are working directly with the city right now, and they are sending us critical, life-changing information. We are getting physical flyers pass out directly to your doors so you don't need the internet to help you. Call the numbers!!
To our new Neighbors that have only been here for the last few days to 10 or more years. We are happy you come to live in Poletown, we hope you will join us in the beautification of our Poletown communities and be a part of our family of decision makers of what works best for all of Poletown communities.
